The chess clock turns a phone or tablet into a tournament clock: pick a control, press start and place the device between the two players. It supports bullet, blitz, rapid and classical controls, Fischer increment, different time per player, a flag sound, and the screen stays awake during the game.
A control is written as base time plus increment: 3+2 means 3 minutes per player and 2 seconds added after every move. Bullet games are under 3 minutes, blitz up to 10 minutes, rapid up to 60, and classical games use longer controls.
If a player's time runs out, they lose the game on time (flag), unless the opponent has insufficient material to mate: then the game is a draw.
The Fischer bonus is added after every completed move and protects against losing on time in equal positions. The clock adds the increment the moment you press your half.
The clock sits between the two players. After moving, a player presses their side: their time stops and the opponent's starts. At the start black presses first so that white's time begins.
While paused, neither clock runs. The settings button returns to the control picker and restart begins the same control from the top.
The FIDE classical control is 90 minutes plus a 30 second increment from move one (set here as 90+30). Official rapid is 15+10 and blitz is 3+2. The clock also supports any other combination of minutes and increment.
Yes, it is built for phones: the two halves of the screen are the buttons and the screen stays awake while the game runs.
5 minutes base time per player and 3 seconds of Fischer bonus after every completed move.
Yes, the handicap setting lets you set separate minutes and increment for white and black, for example 5+0 against 3+0.
The clock flags the player and plays a sound if sound is on. You can restart the game or go back to the settings.
