Maximum insurable income rises to €2300
The maximum monthly insurable income increases from €2111.64 to €2300, held through 2028. The self-insured minimum rises from €550.66 to €578.19. The calculators switch automatically on the changeover date.

Pensions indexed under the Swiss rule
The minimum pension for insurance service and age becomes €347.51 and the social old-age pension €183.81. The pension calculator uses the new minimums from the indexation date.

The €150 duty-free import threshold is abolished
The EU de-minimis threshold for non-EU parcels is abolished; an interim flat €3 duty applies to low-value consignments. The customs calculator reflects the new regime.

Control points are deducted via electronic fines too
Points are deducted automatically once a regular or electronic fine enters into force, not only with a formal penalty decree. The two-year restoration period also counts from the fine.

Mandatory registration of electric scooters
Individual electric vehicles (e-scooters) must be entered in a national register. The deadline for owners is 1 July 2026.

Statutory interest for H1 2026 is 10.15%
Statutory default interest is 10.15% p.a. (ECB rate 2.15% + 8 pp) for the first half-year, reset on 1 July. The domestic per-diem allowance is €22 (Decree 354/2025).

Minimum wage becomes €620.20
The minimum wage is €620.20. Occupation-based minimum insurance thresholds (МОД) are abolished. The insurable floor follows the minimum wage.

Bulgaria adopts the euro
The lev is replaced by the euro as the official currency at the fixed rate of BGN 1.95583/€. All calculator amounts are in euro.

Stricter road-traffic fines (ЗДвП)
A broad penalty overhaul: new amounts for seatbelt and phone use (€51.13), red light (€76.69), a 2-month licence suspension already at 41-50 km/h over the limit in populated areas, and average-speed enforcement via the toll cameras. The traffic-fine calculator is updated.
